St. Augustine, FL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We started our journey up north on Friday, March 31, 2023. Zach left us in the early AM to catch his flight home and should be back in MA in 3 hours, while we hope to arrive in Westport by June 1st. Leaving Marineland, we decide to take a short cruise (18 Nautical Miles, 3 hours) to St. Augustine to give the boat an easy first run. We picked up a mooring ball at St. Augustine Municipal Marina and had a great dinner at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill in town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fernandina Beach, FL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next morning, Saturday, April 1, 2023, we cruised from St. Augustine to Fernandina Beach traveling north on the ICW for 53 nautical miles. The cruise took 8 and half hours and we picked up a mooring ball at Oasis Marina at Fernandina Beach. We intended to only stay one night but since it was such a fun place with so much to explore, we stayed two nights. The distance between the ICW\/marina and the ocean was about 3 miles down main street which meant we could walk to the beach, an added plus! Fernandina Beach is a great town with eclectic shops, tons of restaurants, breweries and a distillery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
