We stayed an extra day on the wall of Sainte Anne de Bellevue to play tourist and explore Montreal! We took in Old Port during our first night and then Ubered back the next morning to explore for the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The weather was not on our side, but we ventured out to do a self-guided food tour of the Mile End neighborhood. We enjoyed an old-school bagel shop, Italian food served out a window, cappuccino and pastry at an adorable coffee shop, a simple, delicious sandwich at a ‘sub shop’, a straight out of the vat glazed donut at family owner donut shop and finally lunch a small local poutine and burger joint. Since it was only drizzling sporadically, we walked over to the Jean Talon Farmers Market. Such a fun experience window shopping at hundreds of stalls that specialized in vegetables, fruits, flowers, nuts, fish, meats, sweets, oils, and spices – just to name a few! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our intention was to take a Hop On Hop Off tour next and enjoy a nice dinner, but the weather turned to heavy rain. So instead, we went back to the boat to wait out the rain, We ended the night a local French speaking Irish Pub with live music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally found a donut comparable to the old Ma’s donuts in New Bedford, MA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Canada Tire: Christmas Tree Shop mixed with Ocean State, Home Depot and Walmart on steroids. Never seen such a dense supply of whatever you needed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Without a doubt, the best bagel ever, just ate it as is and was pure delicious.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A long line to get your cardboard box of gnocchi but was quick and efficient.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The best gnocchi for $5.00, probably as good as Italy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Who thought a simple all beef sandwich could be so yummy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This teeny – tiny place had great reviews, it had a fun vibe but the poutine was meh.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
