We had visited Tarpon Springs years ago during a land vacation. So, we did not plan on stopping during this trip or staying three days. Weather made us stop. The cute town, great marina and fun things to do had us staying some extra days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

What a great spot to tie up and explore for a few days. Three Sons docked at the \u201cSponge Capital of the World,\u201d The waterfront community celebrates its deep Greek roots and sponge-diving heritage and its unique history is on display in its buildings, businesses, and famous docks. After our two long days of travel we enjoyed dinner with Jamin at Halles Restaurant and Bakery. We each choose a different Greek dish and not one disappointed. After dinner, we explored the bakery cases and brought some treats back to the boat for breakfast. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Along with Jamin we walked over to Craig Park to see the manatees. As promised, due to the cold weather about 10 manatees were swimming around the little basin looking for warmer water. As we continued to walk, we noticed a Herrin had a fish he did not mind us hanging around watching him (or her) devour lunch. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Bob was able to connect with a colleague who is now enjoying retirement life in Florida. We enjoyed dinner at Mykonos Restaurant with John and Colleen swapping retirement stories. We started off enjoying Saganaki, a Greek appetizer that is served with the ritual of adding brandy and flamb\u00e9ing the cheese.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dunedin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We decided to take a day trip to Dunedin using the Jolly Trolley. Dunedin was an enjoyable little place, friendly, very clean, walkable, and quite a few breweries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
