Cruising down the East River and through New York was quite an amazing experience. Hell’s Gate was mush more manageable and easier than expected. The marine traffic and ferries was moderate but man they move FAST! Not many boats outside the Statue of Liberty so, we took a million pictures. We radioed a boat next to us and asked them to take pictures and we would do the same. He was asking us to turn our boat certain ways, turns out he was a professional photographer from Newport, RI!
