Leaving Door County, we were excited to get to our next big stop, Milwaukee! Since it is best know for breweries, beer and Laverne and Shirley, this stop was made for us. Milwaukee is a 117 Nautical Mile cruise from Sturgeon Bay. Since Three Sons cruises at 7 knots, it took us 3 days, stopping at Manitowoc for a night and then Port Washington for a night.

First we stopped in Manitowoc, a small costal town on the shore of Lake Michigan. After docking, we walked over to Pet Skull Brewing for a beer and live music. The rock band that was playing was not our style so when Keep Calm texted about another band at the The Wharf, we walked over to join them. We had a fun night of chatting and cocktails and good live music.

The next day, we continued moving south on Lake Michigan to Port Washington, WI. Unfortunately, it was a Monday and not much was open. We took a long walk to explore the history of the town and found some ice cream.

Pet Skull Brewery was cool inside and had a nice stage and patio area. Service was meh, beer was OK, band was no for us.

Port Washington, WI. was an adorable town with cute downtown and lots of art. Unfortunately, it was a Monday and not much was open. We took a long walk to explore the history of the town and found some ice cream.
A couple of tight hair pin turns to get into the back of the marina, where we found ourselves in a fish bowl spot.

Using various modes of transportation, we spend a few days touring Milwaukee. After the recommendation of the dock master, we launched the dinghy and took a ride up the Milwaukee River along their Riverfront walk. Keep Calm took the thrilling and scenic ride with us and we enjoyed lunch, a brewery and the Public Market. The next day, we started early in the AM on bikes and peddled all over returning after dark. Thank goodness the bikes have headlights.

This statue of the Fonz was a little underwhelming, we wonder if he was really this small.
Umm? find the sticker?
