We are trying to mange our time to get to a boat yard in North Carolina to have the engine vibration looked at and still have some fun stopping at new places. So, in order to get some miles behind us we decided to move fast and anchor out. This also gave us time to rest and enjoy nature.

- Whiteside Creek, NC (anchorage) to Oxbow Enterprise, NC (anchorage)
- Sunday, May 4, 2025
- Cruising Time:
- Route: stopped for diesel at Wacca Wacha
- xxx Nautical Miles
- Weather:
- Anchored in Oxbow Enterprise. Took two attempts to get the anchor to set and still never felt a good set. With no wind and current Three Sons literally floated in place.
- Our first intention was to stop in Georgetown for the evening, but we realized it was Sunday and most stores/restaurant were going to be closed, we cancelled our reservation at the marina. We decide to just cruise until we got tired and then drop anchor. The day started out rainy which added to our reason for not wanting to stop. However, it quickly turned to a beautiful sunny day, which added to our continuing to put miles behind us. Our anchorage was beyond beautiful. We enjoyed listening to nature: the chirping of various birds, a slight ripple to the water, frogs croaking, a woodpecker pecking and the most unique landscape of trees surrounded by water. This anchorage is now probably our favorite. Spent lots of time on the decks, reading, resting and having dinner.
