Jekyll’s Island, GA
We entered Georgia on April 3, 2023 making our first stop at Jekyll Island. The cruise from Fernandina Beach to Jekyll Island was 4 hours (28 Nautical Miles.) Maneuvering into Jekyll Harbor Marina required a tight turn but other than a grabbing a pole from a neighboring boat all went well. Jekyll Harbor is small but serves up tons to do with a beautiful beach, Historical District, great bike trails, beach shopping village, and many restaurants. The marina provided a golf cart so we took a ride to explore the island instead of pedaling. An amazing stop was Driftwood Beach. Wow, we have never seen anything like it, such an amazing, serene experience of nature.
