Our intention was to drop anchor at Compass Cay for one night and explore the area and then the next morning move north a few miles to O’Brien Cay. Once we dropped anchor at Compass Cay Outer Anchorage, we were uncomfortable in the shallow water.
Bob even used his weight on a string to confirm what the depth finder was telling us. So, we picked up the anchor and moved to north. From O’Brien Cay, the Sea Aquarium was a 5 minute dinghy ride and a specular snorkeling experience. We took advantage of the white, fine, sugar sand beach on a nameless secluded island. We dinghied to sunken plane noted on the map and found the mooring but never found the plane. Fortunately, the weather was nice and we were able to take the 5 mile dinghy ride to Rachel’s Bubble Bath. Prior to arriving at Compass Cay to explore Rachel’s Bubble Bath, we beached the dinghy at Little Bell’s Cay to hike to Max’s Table Rock Cay. We only went a little more than half way since we forgot to wear shoes.
