Our 20 Nautical Mile journey today took us across Lake Oneida. It was a beautiful day with great cruising conditions. We docked at Winter Bay Marina and got a pump out and filled up with diesel – cha-ching! The marina has a nice facility and very cruiser friendly but is not near anything and not bike friendly. However, they provided two curtesy cars so, we did a bunch of provisioning and our first trip to a Wegmans!

Too hot to cook or grill, so shelled peanuts for dinner.
Our saloon AC has never worked. A while back, we tried to have it fixed and the estimate was so much money that even the AC guy suggested a portal AC. We are not really AC people and the AC system in our galley, stateroom and V-berth all work and do a great job of cooling off the boat. We never moved forward with an idea to cool the saloon. Until this stop, with heat warnings temps in high 90’s and very high humidity! Home Depot 2 hour delivery for the win!
Dinghy ride to down the Oneida River for lunch at the Waterside Tavern.
Docktales under the gazebo trying to stay cool, while sharing food, drink and stories with other loopers.
Lots of laughs with these wonderful ladies.
Another night of docktales, waiting for the sprinklings to turn on and so we can act like a child.
