One year ago, we left Westport, MA to start America’s Great Loop! Three Hundred and Sixty Six (yes a leap year) days later and 5,658 Nautical Miles later, we are still talking to each other! We have made 167 stops with an average speed of 7.1 knots.

Other Stats:

  • on anchor 18% of nights
  • on a mooring 11% of nights
  • docked 63% of nights
  • on ‘the hard’ 8% of nights
  • 3 countries
  • Northernmost stop: Turnbull Island, ON
  • Southernmost stop: Georgetown, Bahamas
  • biked over 500 miles
  • 126 locks
  • 2,074 gallons of diesel (roughly)
  • 79 breweries
  • 1 Urgent Care visit
  • 1 furry friend break-in

We have come to appreciate the boating community, kindness of strangers, bike paths, crosswalks, each other, new friends, google reviews! We miss our friends and family terribly and have developed a strong annoyance of spiders and the webs they spin.
