We enjoyed being in the George Town area of the Exumas exploring all the various spots but after 24 days, we were ready to move. We had excellent weather conditions, so we headed north just before dawn and witnessed another beautiful sunrise.

We traveled 37 miles on the Exuma Bank and crossed over using the Rudder Cut. It was a bit sporty with the current and swells turning us but we threw the throttles down and Three Sons plowed us to the other side.

Cave Cay is a private island but we anchored just outside of the little cove that once housed a marina. This anchorage was a truly magical place and rates top of the list so far! We continue to be amazed at the aqua and navy blue waters!

Once we were settled, we jumped into the dinghies to explore with our boat buddies. The water is so clear, we saw so many turtles, rays and even a shark. Tracy tried to film the shark but nerves must have got in the way because all she captured was the bottom of the ocean.

We found a very interesting cave and pulled the dinghies in to explore. The rock formations and sink holes in the top were just bewildering providing astonishing light waves casting down into the cave.

We dinghied around Musha Cay which is David Copperfield’s private island. Consisting of 11 islands, 40 private beaches and 700 acres, the place is billed “your own personal playground in the Bahamas”. For a mere $50,000 a day this exclusive place can be yours for you and 24 of your closest friends and family to discover and explore. We learned it is an oasis for the rich and famous who want a place to be ‘purposely under the radar’ when we got a little too close to shore with our dinghies and a person on a jet ski came racing out. However, David Copperfield did dropped a sculpture of a grand piano into the water with a mermaid at the piano keys. Folks are welcome to snorkel the piano. He did not make it easy to find but with some perseverance, we found it and snorkeled it.

Ended the night with dinner on board and watching an amazing sunset. Without a doubt a top rated day feeling blessed sleeping and enjoying an exquisite anchorage
