Cruising between Road Trips

Inland Rivers, Tennessee, The Great Loop

We are excited to be back on Three Sons after our two week road trip. Traveling by car and staying in hotels has quite a different feel. We traveled 1,142 miles making stops in Nashville, Chattanooga, Gatlinburg/Smokey Mountains, Knoxville, Louisville, Mammoth Cave National Park, Louisville and the best stop – Indianapolis, to help Cory settle into his first home! It was a great 2 week side trip and it felt a little strange moving faster than 9 MPH! We did miss the water and are excited to drop the lines and get back to cruising!

Knoxville is situated at the foothills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The city was super fun with a wide variety of cultural diversity and fun bars and restaurants and orange everywhere!

Chattanooga, TN

Chattanooga, TN is along the Tennessee River in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. A fun place with an eclectic feel but a little more of a city than we had envisioned. When we were navigating to our hotel, we were confused by all the roads being closed.

Nashville, TN

We made a last minute decision to leave a day early for our road trip and stop in Nashville for an evening of live music and fun. Initially, we decided against visiting Nashville because we have been. But, when the time came to pack and leave, we thought why not stop, even for one night. So, we found a hotel and off we went!
