Knoxville is situated at the foothills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The city was super fun with a wide variety of cultural diversity and fun bars and restaurants and orange everywhere!

Downtown Knoxville was full of trendy shops and fun storefronts!
We enjoyed the Knoxville Mural Trail. We hunted for the many murals that help tell the story of the city in a visual, artistic way.  From alleys to stairwells, talented local and visiting artists use a variety of canvases to enhance the natural landscape of Knoxville.
We loved the Downtown Grill and Brewery that was located on Gay Street. The Brewery has a rich history, told not only by its well-worn hardwood floors, but through its pictures of Knoxville gone by that dress the walls.
A fun brewery with great food and we enjoyed chatting with the bartender to hear all about Knoxville.
A beautiful park with lots of green space and an amphitheater and convention hall. Not much happening on the day we visited but we enjoyed a walk
XUL Beer Company had great reviews so we thought we would give it a try. It was busy, had great beer but a little on the strange side. They win the award for most unusual and delicious beer, PB&J Mixtape, “Peanut Butter and Jelly, right from your childhood.” When they put it down on the counter is was literally grape color, it smelled like peanut butter and was beyond delicious and easy drinking! Who Knew!
Peter Kerns Library was also a winner in our book! We walked into the Oliver Hotel and asked a person in the lobby, “Where can we find the Peter Kerns Library?” Her face lit up and she smiled and laughed, then replied, “Well, you are the fun people!” She walked Tracy around the corner, put her finger to her lips and said “shhh” then said just move that wall! When we slid the wall we discovered Knoxville’s one and only speakeasy, The Peter Kern Library! We so loved the fun atmosphere and quietly sneaking in. The dark wood, fireplace, rows of books, and cocktails named after literary characters created a warm and entertaining spot for a glass of bourbon!
