While Three Sons was on the hard getting new engine mounts and the propellers balanced, the crew took a road trip to the Outer Banks. We enjoyed three days along with two days of some fabulous weather and a day of rain taking in all the sights from Kitty Hawk to Hatteras.

With a rental car, we were able to take a few day trips to Pensacola giving us lots of time to explore the area. Our explorations took us to the downtown area, the beach, Pensacola Boardwalk, and the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and of course a brewery or two.

While Three Sons was docked in Titusville, FL, we flew to Dallas to meet Jacob and Pepper Mae for Thanksgiving. Dallas was a 3 hour drive for Jacob and a direct flight for us so it seemed to be a easy place to meet. After lots of research, we chose to pick up a catered Thanksgiving dinner and eat in the hotel. Sloan’s Corner did a wonderful, delicious Thanksgiving Take Away with all the fixings and dessert.
