After three long days, we finally arrived in the Exumas!
We decided to drop the hook, while our buddy boats took a dock at Highbourne Marina. The views from our anchorage were outstanding! Felling so blessed to be back and enjoying breakfast on the hook.
After getting settled in and rested a bit, we enjoyed some cocktails on the docks before a wonderful meal at Xuma Restaurant. The food was delicious along with our craft cocktails and the ambiance of eating on the deck could not be beat.
Day 2, we explored by dinghy, heading over to Allen Cay aka iguana beach. Yup, lots of iguanas came out to great us and scurried around the sand. We enjoying checking them out (from arms length) and seeing the different characteristic on each. Our friends tried feeding them carrots but they had no interest. We dinghy’d over to a different island and waded in the water and enjoyed the wonderful views, white sand and amazing blue water.
We ended the night with a potluck dinner!
