It was a day! Our first stop in the Exuma Land and Sea Park involved a dinghy ride through the mangroves, turtle watching, enjoying some beach time, riding the ‘washing machine’ and a relaxing dinner on Three Sons!
The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park was established in 1958 and is the first marine reserve in The Bahamas Covering 112,640 acres of land and sea, it is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, species biodiversity, secluded beaches, amazing views and safe anchorages. Last year, this was one of our favorite places to explore. We were looking forward to exploring even more of the underwater magnificence of coral reefs, mangroves, strolling along pristine beaches, traversing several hiking trails, and observing tons of wildlife including birds, fish, turtles and iguanas along with some lazy mornings and evenings on anchor.
