Poker Run
Along with our buddy boats and over 100 other cruisers, we participated in the Georgetown Cruisers Regatta Poker Run. This is one event organized by cruisers during a two week fundraiser in which monies raised are donated to local charities to benefit Bahamians.
It was a hot and humid day, but we raced around Stocking Island and Georgetown by foot and dinghy visiting 7 local establishments. At each place, we picked out card in a quest to get a good poker hand, tried the drink special and a few other cocktails and had a snack while mingling and meeting new peeps. We ended up with three 8’s but did not come close to having the best hand but indeed we did have the best day!
